• Presentation:

The general purpose of the programme is to prepare highly qualified specialists with a complete market thinking and built-on knowledge and skills, professional competencies and qualities of the modern financial expert.  
The main knowledge and skills required for an effective realization and competitiveness at the   labor market are: language skills, team work ability, communication skills, financial data analyzing and interpreting, planning and organizing skills, analytical, prognosticative and combinatory thinking, decision making skills and strive for a continuous qualification enhancement. 
The graduates are to be well prepared in the field of finance, financial management and marketing, to know the principles, methods and mechanisms of financial flows management, to be acquainted with financial markets special features and have a good command of communication techniques and methods of markets segmentation, financial products and tools positioning.
Graduates of the programme may conduct international financial marketing researches, develop international financial business projects, and work for adapting the company or organization to the European market requirements. 
After a successful completion of the 8-semester programme, the graduates receive a diploma of higher education - Bachelor’s Degree with professional qualification “Economist”. They may work in the financial sector of economy – financial administration, financial markets, insurance and social insurance companies, financial departments of companies, investment holdings, etc. 

• Terms and conditions for admission:

Applicants of Bulgarian and foreign citizenship, as well as persons with dual citizenship, one of which Bulgarian, who have completed secondary or higher education, may apply in VUZF University and be enrolled in the Bachelor’s degree program.
The admission is accomplished on a rolling basis – until depletion of student places determined for the Program. Another compulsory condition is a document certifying the level of proficiency in English – valid exams from TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge ESOL certificate - CAE or CPE.

• Application documents:

Applicants of Bulgarian citizenship submit in VUZF University the following application documents:

1. Application envelope consisting of application documents (it can be purchased in the VUZF's University bookstore or the VUZF's University single- line book-stall during student fairs and exhibitions);
2. Copy and original of the diploma for completed secondary education. The original is brought back to the applicant after data comparison with the copy;
3. Proof of payment of the applicant’s document submission fee;
4. Valid certificate from TOEFL exam or
  - Valid certificate from IELTS exam or
  - Cambridge ESOL certificate - CAE  or CPE;
5. Document from the Ministry of education stating the recognition of completed secondary education in a foreign school (applies to applicants who have completed their secondary education abroad).

Socially disadvantaged applicants (blind, deaf, people with permanent disabilities and reduced working capacity by 70 or more per cent, disabled soldiers/ex-service, complete orphans to the age of 25 in the year of application, entities grown to adulthood in orphanages and deprived of parental care, as well as twins and mothers with three or more children) provide documents certifying the respective circumstances.
Applicants who have not completed their secondary education at the time of document submission, extend original and copy of the secondary education diploma at the moment of their enrollment as students in the higher school.

Applicants of foreign citizenship submit in VUZF the following documents:

1. Application including applicant’s personal data, major and type of studies;
2. Copy of the certificate for completed secondary education and copy of the annex including the scores gained (applies to applicants to the full-time studies);
3. Document issued by competent authority, certifying the applicant's right to continue their education in high schools in the country where secondary education is acquired;
4. Academic record (applies to applicants to the part-time studies);
5. Medical certificate issued one month before the date of application and certified by the appropriate authorities in the applicant’s country of origin;
6. Copy of the citizenship documentation (applies to applicants with dual citizenship, one of which is Bulgarian);
7. Document certifying the level of proficiency in English – valid exams from TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge ESOL certificate - CAE  or CPE;
8. Proof of payment of applicant’s document submission fee;
9. Four current photographs of size 3.5 / 4.5 cm

Documents under section 2-5 must be authenticated, translated and certified in accordance to the provisions of the international treaties conducted between the Republic of Bulgaria and the country in which they are issued. When no such agreements were signed - under the general procedure for legalization, translation and authentication of documents and other papers.
Application documents shall be submitted to the VUZF's University "Study Activities” Department or sent by post, with a copy of the document for submitted document submission fee (either paid in the bookstore or via bank transfer).
No changes and additions to the submitted documents are allowed.
Submitted documents will not be returned to the students.

Documents submission Fees:

Application fees for the 2009/2010 academic year:

Application envelope consisting of applying documents – 10 BGN;
Application documents submission fee – 40 BGN.

The application envelope and the application document submission fee are to be paid only once.
The application document submission fee does not have to be paid by socially disabled applicants – blind, deaf, people with permanent disabilities and reduced working capacity by 70 or more per cent, disabled soldiers/ex-service, complete orphans to the age of 25 in the year of application, entities grown to adulthood in orphanages and deprived of parental care, as well as twins and mothers with three or more children – in case they have submitted documents certifying the respective circumstances. 

Annual tuition fee for students admitted for the academic years 2009/2010

Full- and part-time training - € 3 000

Please, note that the Program gives applicants full opportunities for financial concessions such as extension payment scheme and students loan.
