Credit System

For the students with a Bachelor’s degree in the same major that their major in Master’s degree at VUZF, the program continuality is one academic year (two semesters), which is the period of the foundation course. During this period, a minimum number of 480 academic hours of contact classes for the full-time form of study must be covered and a minimum of 60 credits must be obtained.

For the students with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degrees in majors with professional qualification “Economist”, but different from the major in Master’s at VUZF, the program contains one semester of preliminary course, followed by the one-year foundation course.  During this period (three semesters), a minimum number of 780 academic hours of contact classes for the full-time form of study must be covered and a minimum of 90 credits must be obtained.
For the students with a “specialist” degree or a “professional bachelor” in majors with professional qualification “Economist” or with Bachelor’s or Master’s degrees in majors, which are not part of the professional qualification “Economist”, the program contains one year (two semesters) of preliminary course, followed by the one-year foundation course. During this period (four semesters), a minimum number of 1080 academic hours of contact classes for the full-time form of study must be covered and a minimum of 120 credits must be obtained.


The minimum amount of contact classes covered for the part-time form of study must not be less than 50% of the full-time form of study curriculum.
From the defined number of credits, no less than 15 credits are attributed to the student for a successful presentation of their diploma thesis.
The credits from the different disciplines in the preliminary and the foundation course are determined by the Credit Accumulation and Transfer System at VUZF.
